Innovative Technology for Psychological Testing
Computerized adaptive tests are measuring instruments designed for delivery by an interactive computer.

Unlike the fixed questions of traditional tests, computerized adaptive tests adapt to a subject’s intelligence based on their responses and deliver follow up questions based on those responses.

With a good pool of questions, adaptive tests can be “personalized” for the examinee so that the questions are neither too difficult nor too easy. Every test subject can respond to questions that completely inform the administrator about the individual’s ability and aptitude level.

How Does it Work?
The INSIGHT algorithm is an iterative process with the following steps:



Time Effective and Thorough
The average administration time of the INSIGHT Battery is less than 20 minutes. To ensure the highest possible accuracy, the tests begin with two trial testlets to give subjects an opportunity to learn how to use the tests. The test itself begins by choosing a different testlet at random for each test subject.

The testlets are of medium difficulty and insure that test subjects begin the INSIGHT Battery with different questions, decreasing the chances that people may have learned the first question from other’s who have taken the test.

After the examinee has answered the first question, the software calculates correct answers, wrong answers and missing answers through INSIGHT’s algorithm, and instantly chooses the best next testlet. Each testlet is allocated 4 minutes for completion after which time missing data is considered to be a wrong answer.
